Arise Sir Billy Connolly
Billy Connolly finally gets a Knighthood. Arise Sir Billy. I’ve photographed him a fair few times over the years, and although press photographers generally aren’t at the top of his Christmas card list, I’ve always found him pleasant enough to deal with.
One of the last times I photographed him, my wife was part of an informal competition to get the best pic of a celebrity saying Shhhhh. This was to promote an upcoming musical. Billy was more than happy to help out, and yes we did win the competition.
